Roy Clifton Wright

Clifton Roy Wright, 77, of Kingsport, TN passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN. He was born in Washington County, VA on December 20, 1941, a son of the late Walter and Virginia Wright. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters, Elsie Barr, Barbara Hand, and Charlotte Stevens; and one brother, Bert J. Wright. He had lived in Kingsport, TN for the past four years and loved to dance and all his dance family. He is survived by one sister, Kitty Richardson and her husband, Ronnie, of Damascus, VA; and two brothers, Lacy Wright and his wife, Betty, and J.C. Wright and his wife, Ellen Jo, all of Damascus, VA; his loving ex-wife, Kim Mullins of Kingsport, TN; a sister-in-law, Joann Wright of Hobart, IN; his aunt, Evelyn Jones of Abingdon, VA; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Garrett Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM Sunday in the Riverview Chapel at Garrett Funeral Home with Pastor Junior Gobble officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Alvarado, VA. Pallbearers will be Greg Wise, Charlie Stevens, Phillip Hickman, Bill Harris, Chris Wright, and Tracy Wright.
