Jewel Lewis Maynard

Jewel Maynard ,87, of Somerset, KY passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020 at the Neighborhood. She was born on January 31, 1932, in Taylor Valley, VA, a daughter of the late Jackson and Emma Roark Lewis. She married Floyd V. Maynard on July 21, 1951, in Kopperston, West Virginia. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for her husband's business. Jewel was a member of Victory Christian Fellowship, of Somerset.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Kay Maynard, of Somerset: her siblings, Juanita Pennington, of Titusville, FL, Maxine Monro and her husband, Norman, of North Pitcher, New York, and Jack Lewis, of Nashville, TN: her grandchildren, Leslie Maynard, Megan Dungan, and husband, Justin and Allyson Braun, and husband, Nick: her great-grandchildren: Finley Dungan, Jhett Dungan, Gray Dungan, Piper Braun and Salem Braun: her nephew, Gary Bostic and wife, Jackie, of Mt. Airy MD: and her niece: Janna Higa and husband, George, of Wycoff NJ.Jewel is Preceded in death by her parents: her husband, Floyd: and her sister, Sharlene Douma: and her brothers-in-law, Robert G. Pennington and Henry Douma.A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Monday, January 27, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at Garrett Funeral Home, in Damascus, VA.
