Bill Cox, Jr., 62, of Marion, VA passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at his residence. He was a native of Lancaster, PA born on September 8, 1957, a son of the late Bill Williams Cox, Sr. and Mary Agnes Testerman Cox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bill Williams Cox, III; and a brother, John Cox. He had lived most of his life in Washington County, VA and had lived in Marion, VA since 2015. He retired from Walmart in Marion, VA in September 2019. Bill enjoyed fishing. He is survived by three daughters, Melissa Cox of Marion, VA, Stephanie Lynn and her husband, Bobby, of Saltville, VA, and Kaitlyn Widener of Glade Spring, VA; six grandchildren, Tyler Baumgardner, Nathan Baumgardner, Madison Moran, Michael Moran, Autumn Moran, and Warren Lynn; a nephew, Richard Cox; and a niece, Amanda Dennison. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 PM Wednesday, February 19, 2020 in the Riverview Chapel at Garrett Funeral Home with Mr. Jamie Davidson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be sent to the funeral home to help pay for funeral expenses. I met Bill in 2012. And for the past eight years our paths crossed many many times. He always had something to talk about. We were just acquaintances, but his inner light burned brightly. He was a good man! I will miss him. My prayers and love go to his daughter and his grandchild. He was so proud of them.

Missy and Family I am so sorry to hear of Bills passing. Bill was such a very good hearted person. We would always catch up on what each other was doing or had been doing when we seen each other in town. Bill will greatly be missed. Prayers to all. RIP Bill
