William Bill Reedy

William M. "Bill" Reedy, age 88, of Konnarock, Virginia passed away Monday, October 18, 2004, at the home of his daughter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delta Lee Reedy. He was a lifelong resident of Washington County, Virginia. He was retired as a security guard from the Virginia Department of Corrections and from American Furniture Company, he was a loving father, husband, and a friend to all who knew him. Mr. Reedy was a member of the Konnarock Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He is survived by one daughter, Margaret Reedy Cornett, of Mountain City, Tennessee; one grandson, Chris Cornett and wife, Leah; one granddaughter, Julia Kiehna and husband, Matt; two great grandchildren, Cristen Cornett and Gavyn Kiehna; step-mother, Mary Reedy; and one sister-in-law, Kathleen Reedy Anders; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P. M. Thursday, October 21, 2004 at Konnarock Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Ralph Reedy and Elder Michael Messervy officiating. Burial will follow in the Azen Cemetery, Konnarock, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Roger Reedy, Junior Cornett, Chris Cornett, John Severt, David Severt, and Michael Reedy. Honorary pallbearers Jack Huffman and Ninevah Blevins. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P. M. Wednesday from the Garrett Funeral Home.
