Walter Paul Blevins, age 78, of Glade Spring, Virginia passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion, Virginia. He was a life long resident of Washington County, Virginia and was the son of the late Luther and Maggie Blevins. He retired from the Washington County Virginia School System. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four sons, Walter Paul Blevins Jr., Rick Blevins, Randy Blevins, and David Blevins; and four sisters, Verna Widener, Ruth Seagraves, Evelyn Cornett, and Mae Parris. He is survived by one son, Don Blevins of Glade Spring, Virginia; three daughters, Teresa Rolen and her husband, Tim, of Lexington Park, Maryland, Jane Widener and her husband, Allen, of Damascus, Virginia, and Lisa Stinson of Orange Park, Florida; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral services for Walter Paul Blevins will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 12, 2012 at the graveside at Rock Springs Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Glade Spring, Virginia with Rev. Warren Wilson officiating. Pallbearers will be Eddie Widener, Tom Widener, Herbert Toon, Thomas Buskil, Tim Rolen, and Derrick Blevins. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
