View this Videotribute Tommy Blevins, age 66, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 30, 2006 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was a lifelong resident of Damascus, Virginia and was a son of the late Carson and Helen Blevins. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gospel music, and most of all spending time with his family. Mr. Blevins was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church. He leaves behind his wife of forty-four years, Joyce Blevins; one son, James Blevins and his wife, Lisa, of Bristol, Virginia; two daughters, Debbie Cannon and her husband, Wayne, of Gainsville, Georgia and Connie Gregor and her husband, Lee, one brother, Billy Joe Blevins and his wife, Yvonne, one sister, Dora Mae Blevins and her husband, Jack, all of Meadowview, Virginia; and was the special Papa of Christopher, Brooke, and Lindsay Cannon, Tommy and Montana Gregor, and Emily Blevins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at the Pleasant View Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Boyer officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Damascus, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Teddy Blevins, Jimmy Gregor, Travis Singleton, Clifford Watson, Harold Gentry, Jason Gentry, Marty Wright, and Marshall Wright. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Wellmont Hospice House, 280 Steele's Road, Bristol, TN 37620. The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 P. M.
