Theresa E. Hamm, age 70, of Damascus, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at her residence. She was a native of Pennsylvania and had lived in Washington County, Virginia most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Charles and Loretta Pisarto. Theresa was very generous to give and support many charitable organizations. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jim Hamm; a son, Jimmy Hamm; and one sister, Linda Brooks. She is survived by two daughters, Desiree Greer of Damascus, Virginia and Daneen Blevins of Damascus, Virginia; three grandchildren, Cory Cornett, D.J. Blevins, and Nikki Blevins all of Damascus, Virginia; one sister, Patricia Lodico of New York; one brother, Charlie Pisarto and his wife, Gloria, of East Fallowfield, Pennsylvania; special friends, Johnny Cato and Missy Richardson; and her constant companion and her baby, Tiny. The funeral service will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Monday, August 1, 2011 in the Riverview Chapel at Garrett Funeral Home with Rev. Charles E. “Jody” Blevins officiating. The committal service and interment will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Byars Cemetery in Whitetop, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Cory Cornett, D.J. Blevins, Johnny Cato, Scott Warden, Bobby Walls, and Orson Abordo. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 7:45 P.M. Monday prior to the funeral service at Garrett Funeral Home. We are so sorry for the death of your Mother.I always liked Theresa. She was a friend.And we had two
special things in common and that was our special Grandchildren which we both loved very much D.J. and Nikki. Kids know that your Granny's Loved you very much

Im so sorry for your loss of a momma and granny, my loss too of a very special friend cause I love her a whole bunch and am really gonna miss her. I love all ya'll.
