Sandra Lynn Lethcoe

Sandra Lynn Lethcoe, 73, of Damascus, VA passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Johnson County, TN on January 31, 1948, a daughter of the late Dana and Anna Fenner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Lethcoe; two brothers, Billy Fenner and Everett Fenner; and three sisters, Jackie Shupe, Margie Ewing, and Joanne Anderson. She worked for many years at Magic Mart in Abingdon, VA. She was a member of Damascus Church of Christ. She loved to take walks and play bingo. She is survived by one son, Robbie Lethcoe and one daughter, Dana Lethcoe both of Damascus, VA; also a very special young lady, Makayla Phipps; four sisters, Lucille Coumn, Betty Gentry, Jean Kasserman, and Judy Secrest; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to Lisa Widener for being a wonderful caregiver to our mom. Also, Judy Barker and Jennifer Phipps for all the help and love you gave our mom thru the years and during her sickness. Thank you to Caris Healthcare and Dr. Charise Battel for all the care they have given to our mother. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Garrett Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm Saturday in the Riverview Chapel at Garrett Funeral Home with Mr. Walt Staude, minister officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Damascus, VA. Pallbearers will be Mike Milhorne, Michael Milhorne, Eugene Blevins, Kermit Turner, Blake Turner, William Phipps, and Chris Proffitt. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 8180 Greensboro Drive, Suite 400, McLean, VA 22102.
