Ruby Virginia Roe Luttrell Smith, age 93, of Abingdon, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Grace Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Abingdon, Virginia. She was a life long resident of Washington County, Virginia and was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Martha Roe. She was retired from Bristol Lingerie and had worked for Big Jack Manufacturing Company for twenty-three years. She was of the Baptist Faith and loved cooking and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, George W. Luttrell; her second husband, Larkin H. Smith; three sisters, Kathleen Galliher, Jessie Galliher, and Audrey Clark; and three brothers, Charles Roe, Hal Roe, and Tom Roe.  She is survived by two sons, John C. Luttrell and his wife, Sue, of Abingdon, Virginia, and Don L. Luttrell and his wife, Margaret, Abingdon, Virginia; two sisters, Grace Cook of Greeneville, South Carolina, and Ellen Smith of Abingdon, Virginia; one brother, Roland Roe of Abingdon, Virginia; her aunt, Carrie Price of Damascus, Virginia; three grandchildren, Tony Luttrell and his wife, Susan, Stacy Luttrell and his wife, Pam, and Amy Hurd and her husband, Ricky; ten great grandchildren, Courtney, Alex, Gabriel, Gage, Alexis, Cody, Chase, Cordell, Zeke, and Kierra; two step-daughters, Lori Jean and Terry; three step-sons, John, Bob, and Ray; and several nieces and nephews.  The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the graveside at Forest Hills Memory Gardens in Abingdon, Virginia with Pastor Dave Allen officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, October 24, 2011 at Garrett Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to the family and a memorial tribute video may be viewed by visiting www.garrettfuneralhome.com. Mrs. Smith and her family are in the care of Garrett Funeral Home, 203 N.
