Phyllis Perdue

Phyllis J. Perdue, age 63, of Shady Valley, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2007 at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of Shady Valley, Tennessee, and was a daughter of the late Chester and Mona McQueen. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Teddy McQueen. She was a member of Harmon Chapel Christian Church in Shady Valley, Tennessee. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Henry Perdue; one son, Malcolm Perdue, of Jonesville, Virginia; two sisters, Deloris Blevins, of Rockford, Alabama, and Judy Mahala, of Shady Valley, Tennessee; one brother, Kenny McQueen, of Mountain City, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2007 in the Garrett Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Howard Taylor, minister officiating. The committal service and interment will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 11, 2007 at Blevins Cemetery in Shady Valley, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be Keith Blevins, Tony Spencer, Tater McQueen, John Perdue III, Lonnie Long, and Joe Hughes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the Shady Valley Fire Department, Highway 421, Shady Valley, TN 37688. The family will receive friends from 6-7:45 P.M.
