Melissa A. Crosswhite

Melissa A. Crosswhite, age 46, of Bristol, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 in the Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, Tennessee. She was born and raised in Shady Valley, Tennessee and was a daughter of the late Jake Main and is survived by her mother, Kathy Thomas of Kodak, Tennessee. She was a resident of Bristol since 1989 and enjoyed going to the beach on vacation and spending time with her family. In addition to her mother, Melissa is survived by one son, Jacob Edward Crosswhite and his father, Steve Crosswhite, of Bristol, Virginia; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Garrett Funeral Home in Damascus, Virginia. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at the graveside at Billy Hill Cemetery in Shady Valley, Tennessee with Mr. Ralph Vanover, minister officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Steve Crosswhite, 20207 Benhams Road, Bristol, VA 24202.
