Mary McDaniel Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

(Must have Broadband Connection to view Video Tribute) Mary Marie McDaniel, age 84, of Konnarock, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 19, 2007 at her residence. She was a life long resident of Konnarock, Virginia, and was the daughter of the late John and Susie Finley. Mrs. McDaniel was of the Christian Faith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd A. McDaniel. She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Richardson and her husband, Darrell, of Lexington, NC and Karen Beeson and her husband, Alan, of Colfax, NC; two sons, Johnny Ray Finley and his wife, Noma, of Kernersville, NC and Eugene McDaniel, of Konnarock, VA; special friends, Estelle Walls and Judy Mabe; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; she was a friend to everyone. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 21, 2007, in the Garrett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rex Carter officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at McDaniel Family Cemetery, Troutdale, Virginia. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the Mt. Rogers Volunteer Rescue and Fire Department, P. O. Box 47, Whitetop, VA 24292 or Konnarock Community Center, c/o Lucy Huffman, 1028 Laurel Valley Road, Troutdale, VA 24378. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 P.M. Wednesday prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
