Mary Crouse

(Must have Broadband Connection to view Video Tribute) Mary “Tootie” Crouse, age 44, of Abingdon, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2008.  She was a lifelong resident of Washington County, Virginia, and was a daughter of Gay B. Moser, of Damascus, Virginia, and the late Everett Barr.  Mrs. Crouse worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Renaissance House in Abingdon, Virginia.  In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Becky Barr and one brother, Stanley Barr.   In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her husband, Avery Patterson Crouse; two daughters, Elaina Crouse and Katie Crouse, both of Meadowview, Virginia; one son, Jacob Crouse, of Bristol, Virginia; her step-father, Marshall Moser of Mountain City, Tennessee; four sisters, Marilyn Riffey, and Sandra Barr, both of Abingdon, Virginia, Patricia Barr, of Glade Spring, Virginia, and Melissa Jennings, of Damascus, Virginia; one brother, Terry Moser, of Chilhowie, Virginia; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted 8:00 P. M. Friday, December 5, 2008 in the Garrett Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Griffin, Jr. officiating.  The committal service and interment will be 11:00 A. M. Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Whitetop Baptist Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6-7:45 P. M. Friday prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
