Louise Ann (Louann) Jones, 67, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020 in the Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, VA following an brief illness. Prior to her death, Louann had resided at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie, VA. She was born in Youngstown, OH on March 15, 1953, a daughter of the late LeRoy H. Jones and Virginia Lucille Richardson Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jamie and Emma Richardson of Damascus, VA; and uncles, Charles K. Richardson, Bob Richardson, and Vance Richardson. Louann spent her early childhood years in Pawnee, Illinois until the family moved to Damascus,VA where her mother had resided for many years. She was a graduate of Holston High School and a member of the First Baptist Church in Damascus. Louise is survived by several cousins. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, October 1, 2020, at the graveside at Mock Cemetery in Damascus, VA with Pastor Greg Alderman officiating. The family would like to thank the staff at Valley Health Care Center for the many years that they provided care for Louann as well as the staff at Johnston Memorial Hospital for the care and the communication with family that they provided. so sorry to hear of lou anns pasing I lost track of her many years ago we graduated from high school together and I kept up with her for years via Dorothy fletcher one of her friends until Dorothy passed sending you family prayers of comfort
