Larry Blevins

Larry K. Blevins, age 66, of Green Cove, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Virginia. He was a life long resident of Green Cove, Virginia. He was a son of the late Oral and Rosa Blevins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lavaun Fulkerson and Gladys Blevins, and one brother, Lee Blevins. Mr. Blevins was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He is survived by two brothers, Wright Blevins and his wife, Dot, of Bristol, Virginia and Bruce Blevins and wife, Dreama, of Forrest Hills, West Virginia; one brother-in-law, Homer Blevins; a special friend and cousin, Paul and Hernda Peacock, of Marion, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 14, 2007, in the Green Cove Baptist Church with Rev. Charles "Jody" Blevins officiating. The committal service and interment will follow in the Green Cove Baptist Church with military graveside rites by Highlands Fellowship Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Phillip Blevins, Barry Blevins, Eddie Walls, Paul Peacock, Ray Blevins, Duane Blevins, Eric Blevins, and Gary Heath. Honorary pallbearers will be Devin Statzer, Seth Walls, Gary Green, Tom Waters, Sr., Cindy Statzer, and Mark Blevins. The family will receive friends from 1 - 1:45 P.M. Wednesday, March 14, 2007, prior to the funeral service at Green Cove Baptist Church.
