Kathy Ann Testerman

Kathy Ann Testerman, 56, of Marion, VA passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion, VA. She was born in Abingdon, VA on July 7, 1964. She was preceded in death by her father, Franklin J. Brooks; two uncles, David Combs and William Combs; and a nephew, Chris Brooks. She had lived in Chilhowie, VA for 15 years prior to moving to Marion, VA 22 years ago. She worked at the Valero gas station in Marion, VA. Kathy is survived by her mother and step-father, Eva Jane Stanley and Carl Stanley of Mountain City, TN; a brother, Michael Brooks and his wife, Brenda, of Atkins, VA; three step-brothers, Jerry Stanley and his wife, Perriann, of Mountain City, TN, Steve Stanley and his wife, Kim, of Greeneville, TN, and Tony Stanley and his wife, Charmin, of Mountain City, TN; her companion, Steve Fain of Marion, VA; an uncle, Fred Combs of Konnarock, VA; special friends, Joe and Larue, Curtis and Julie, and Chester and Kitty; several nieces, nephews, and loving friends; and her feline companion whom she loved, Tipsy. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Garrett Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm Sunday in the Riverview Chapel at Garrett Funeral Home with Mr. Freddie Arnold, minister, officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at Laurel Cemetery in Konnarock, VA. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
