Jerry Hoosier

Jerry Hoosier, 74, of Abingdon, VA passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at his sons residence in Abingdon, VA. He was born on April 14, 1944, in Konnarock, VA a son of the late Roscoe and Edna Hoosier. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalee Hoosier; two brothers, Charles Hoosier and Herman Hoosier; and a sister-in-law, Alice Hoosier.He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.Jerry is survived by two sons, Jeffery Hoosier of Abingdon, VA and Eric Hoosier of Bristol, VA; two brothers, Arley Hoosier of Konnarock, VA and James "Jimmy" Hoosier and his wife, Charolotte, of Damascus, VA; one sister, Marcella Keiter and her husband, Alivn, of Oxford, PA; two sisters-in-law, Audrey Hoosier of Konnarock, VA and Jewel Hoosier of Pennsville, NJ; one grandson, Daniel Hooiser of Bristol, VA; and one granddaughter, Kailey Hoosier of Bristol, VA; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm Friday, March 22, 2019 at Konnarock Seventh-Day Adventist Church. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm Friday at the church with Mr. Frank Ricks and Elder Dan Huffman officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Konnarock Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 590 Konnarock Road, Damascus, VA 24236.
