View this Videotribute Jean Barlow, age 61, of Damascus, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2005, at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Virginia. She was a lifelong resident of Damascus, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Roy Riley Morefield, Sr. and Sarah Juanita Morefield. She is survived by one son, Roy E. Barlow and his wife, Carla, of Damascus, Virginia; two daughters, Sarah Rogers and her husband, Lacy, of Bristol, Virginia and Kathy Jo Barlow and special friend Travis, of Damascus, Virginia; two brothers, Joe Morefield and his wife, Kathy of Meadowview, Virginia and Ed Morefield and his wife, Mae of Damascus, Virginia; two sisters, Verna Smith and Kathy Morefield, both of Damascus, Virginia; special friends, Carolyn Pauley and Margaret Winters; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at the graveside at 11:00 A. M. Friday, September 9, 2005 in Sunset Memorial Park, Damascus, Virginia with Pastor Clifford Roark, Jr. officiating. Pallbearers will be Tommy Hash, Emory Barlow, Derek Barlow, Johnny Smith, Doug Smith, and Keith Morefield. Honorary pallbearers Joey Morefield, Lacy Rogers, James Smith, Derek Brown, Cory Cornett, Brandon Hensley, Kelly Widener, David Hash, Bobby Coram, and Travis Riley. The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 P. M. Thursday, September 8, 2005 at Garrett Funeral Home.
