James Richard “Dicky” Shoun, age 64, of Damascus, Virginia, passed away Friday, September 19, 2008 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Washington County, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille French Shoun, a sister, Nancy Osborne, and a nephew, Scott Osborne. Mr. Shoun was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He is survived by one daughter, Misti Shaw and her husband, Chris, of Bristol, Tennessee; one granddaughter, Molly Shaw; one niece, Robin Osborne, Damascus, Virginia; one sister, Jean Farris and Family, of Hampton, Virginia; special friends, Donnie Lowe and Sharon Murray. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 2-5:00 P.M. Sunday, September 21, 2008 at the residence.
