James Brown

James David Brown, age 76, of Damascus, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia. He was a native of Washington County, Virginia, and was the son of the late Com and Tena Brown. He had resided in Chilhowie, Virginia for the past fifteen years. He had attended Laurel Community Church, in Damascus, Virginia. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Georgia Dugger and Addie Rosenbaum and one brother, Charlie Brown. He is survived by his brother, John R. Brown and wife, Janice, of Abingdon, Virginia; four nieces; and four nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 12, 2007, at the graveside at Sunset Memorial Park in Damascus, Virginia with Rev. Leonard Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M.
