Ira McClellan "Mickey" Blevins Jr.

Ira McClellan “Mickey” Blevins, Jr., age 45, of Konnarock, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at his residence. He was a native of Washington County, Virginia and had lived in Konnarock, Virginia most of his life. He was an E.M.T. and Firefighter and had worked at Mt. Rogers Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a son of Ira and Shelby Blevins of Konnarock, Virginia. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by two daughters, Nicole Grimmett and her husband, Namen, of Tazewell, Virginia and Tiffany Shae Blevins of Lebanon, Virginia; one grandson, Carsen Grimmett; two sisters, Elizabeth Waddell and her husband, James, of Konnarock, Virginia and Kimberly Gorsline and her husband, Steve, of Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee; and four nephews, Kenneth, Christopher, Matthew, and Michael. The memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, December 29, 2013 at the Riverview Chapel at Garrett Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Bowers officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Sunday prior to the memorial service at Garrett Funeral Home.
