Herman Dolinger

Herman F. Dolinger, age 80, of Troutdale, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at his residence. He was a native of Green Cove, Virginia, and was the son of the late Avery and Molly Dolinger. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, during World War II and was a member of the V.F.W. Mr. Dolinger was a carpenter and had attended the Green Cove Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Roger H. Dolinger, and five sisters and five brothers. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Greer Dolinger; four daughters, Charlotte A. Joe, of Fairmont, West Virginia, Hernda R. Dolinger, of Troutdale, Virginia, Juanita Spencer, of Keller, Texas, and Darlene E. McConnell, of North Pole, Alaska; one sister, Eula Greer, of Flatwoods, North Carolina; two brothers, Charlie G. Dolinger, of Manassas, Virginia, and Tracy F. Dolinger, of Troutdale, Virginia; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 14, 2006 in the Green Cove Baptist Church with Rev. Charles E. "Jody" Blevins and Rev. Harlan Greer officiating. The committal service and interment will follow in the Laurel Cemetery, Troutdale, Virginia. The Highlands Fellowship Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military graveside rites and serve as pallbearers. Clate Dolinger will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
