Helen Severt

Helen Severt, 86, of Konnarock, VA passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Abingdon Health and Rehab in Abingdon, VA. She was born in Springfield, OH and had lived in Konnarock, VA most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Emmett and Edith Blevins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Severt; one sister, Katie Seitz; and one brother, Lawrence Blevins. She was an active member of the Konnarock Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She is survived by seven children, Bob Severt and his wife, Ann, Nancy Ramsden and her husband, Ralph, David Severt and his wife, Anita, Phyllis Parson and her husband, Danny, Doug Severt and his wife, Trudy, Kitty Garrett and her husband, Gary, and Amy Carpenter and her husband, David; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great great grandson, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Konnarock Seventh-Day Adventist Church. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM Saturday at the church with Pastor Don Elswick officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at Severt Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dylan Carpenter, Josef Winkler, Chad Trivett, Dwayne Parson, Jordan Severt, and Alex Knarr. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Konnarock Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 590 Konnarock Road, Damascus, VA 24236.
