Hazel Sylvia Campbell

Hazel Sylvia Campbell, 93, of Wadsworth, OH passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Wadsworth Point in Wadsworth, OH. She was a native of Damascus, VA and was a daughter of the late Sherman and Maude Watkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmer E. Campbell; one daughter, Maude Mays; two sons, Jimmie Campbell and Danny Campbell; two sisters, Barbara Neaves and Evelyn Buskell; and one brother, Sherman Watkins. She was a resident of Cleveland, OH where she worked as a school teacher at Hicks Elementary School. Upon her and her husband's retirement, they moved back to Damascus, VA in 1988. She was a member of the Damascus Church of Christ. She is survived by three daughters, Noma Morgan, Pamela Ruez, and Ruth Harris and her husband, Jack; four sons, Delmer Campbell and his wife, Nikki, Victor Campbell and his wife, Carole, Wiley Campbell and his wife, Adele, and Mark Campbell and his wife, Maureen; a daughter-in-law, Clara Campbell; one sister, Geneva Campbell; two brothers, Frank Watkins and his wife, Irene, and Jimmie Joe Watkins and his wife, Hazel; 30 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 22 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Garrett Funeral Home. The funeral service will be follow at 11:00 AM Saturday in the Riverview Chapel at Garrett Funeral Home with Mr. Walt Staude, minister officiating. The committal service and interment will be follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Damascus, VA. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
