Harold Beavers, Jr.

Harold Beavers, Jr., age 82, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022, in Abingdon, VA. He was born on January 29, 1940, in Tazewell County, VA, and was the son of Harold Beavers and Lura A. Greer. He was a long standing member of Mount Herman Methodist Church, an avid fisherman and life-long skilled carpenter. He loved nature along with the simple pleasures of life and took great comfort in helping those less fortunate. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert D. Beavers and James E. Beavers and one sister, Connie L. Beavers. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joyce A. Beavers, one daughter Lori Machelle Pylar of Detroit, MI; two sons, Harold Bryian Beavers of Abingdon, VA and Robert Alan Beavers and his wife, Shawna Rockwell Beavers, of Clintwood, VA; one sister, Lula Mae Beavers White, Bristol, VA and one brother, Jack Bryant Beavers of East Point, MI; five grandchildren, Bryan Scott Webb, Samantha Blair Scott, Brandon Douglas Beavers, Brooke Annadelle Beavers and Bayler Alan-Joseph Beavers and one great granddaughter, Bryleigh Rose Webb. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 26, 2022 in the Riverview Chapel at Garrett Funeral Home in Damascus, VA, with Pastor Barry Absher officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at Knollkreg Memorial Park in Abingdon, VA. Family will serve as pallbearers.
