Eric Andrew DeBusk, age 35, of Glade Spring, Virginia, formerly of Miami Beach, Florida, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at home surrounded by family. He is survived by his parents, Patty and Allen DeBusk of Glade Spring, Virginia; one sister, Kelly DeBusk Maffeo and her husband, Charlie, of Winchester, Virginia; paternal grandmother, Betty DeBusk of Glade Spring, Virginia; life partner, David Ewing and “Fitch the Pug” of Miami Beach, Florida; special “sis” Cindy McGuire of Stephens City, Virginia; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, C. W. and Gaye Bowers and his paternal grandfather, Herb DeBusk.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Glade Spring Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis Blazier and Pastor Craig Stevens officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Saturday prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to Appalachian Assistance Coalition, 201 E.
