Emory Davis

Emory Cleveland Davis, age 94, of Damascus, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at Grace Healthcare of Abingdon. He was born in Washington County, Virginia in the Zion Community and lived several years in Damascus, Virginia. He was a son of the late Green and Lillie Dunn Davis. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Sterling Davis, five sisters, and three other brothers. Emory did farm work most of his life and especially loved horses. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P. M. Thursday, December 22, 2005, at the graveside at Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. Robert W. Griffin, Jr. officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
