Dorothy Fritz Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dorothy I. Fritz, age 71, of Damascus, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2005, in the Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Virginia. She was a native of West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Alice Parker Cullop. She had lived in Herndon, Virginia for many years before moving to Damascus, Virginia in 1983. She was a member of the Damascus Senior Citizens and was of the Protestant faith. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her former husband, Alfred F. Fritz and three brothers, Junior Cullop, Herman Cullop, and Ralph Cullop. She is survived by two sons, Patrick F. Fritz and his wife, Cathy, of Thurmont, Maryland and Jack R. Fritz and his wife, Sharon, of Jupitor, Florida; sister-in-law, Cleata L. Cullop, of Damascus, Virginia; five grandchildren, Bradford Fritz, Kevin Fritz, Erica Fritz, Johnathan Bussard, and Nathan Bussard; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 P. M. Saturday, June 11, 2005 at Garrett Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Worley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Damascus Volunteer Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 458, Damascus, Virginia 24236. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at the funeral home or at any time at the residence of Cleata L. Cullop, 1226 South Shady Avenue, Damascus, Virginia 24236.
