Doris Mae Dolinger Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Doris Dolinger, age 85, of Whitetop, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Washington, D.C. and had lived in Prince Georges County, Maryland for fifty years where she worked as a career secretary for the Census Bureau. After her retirement she moved to live in Whitetop, Virginia in 1979. She was the widow of Fred Roosevelt Dolinger. She is survived by two sons, Fred J. Dolinger and his wife, Teresa, of Clarksburg, Maryland and Robert E. Dolinger and his wife, Jo Ann, of Wytheville, Virginia; one daughter, Diane Mae Smallwood and her husband, Mike, of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland; three grandchildren, Fred V. Dolinger, Raymond B. Dolinger, and Heather Lee McNeil; two great grandchildren; one brother, Frank Madel of California; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 7, 2014 in the Riverview Chapel at Garrett Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Tenney officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at Byars Cemetery in Whitetop, Virginia. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Friday prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
