Delores Owens

Delores Owens, age 51, of the Sutherland Community, in Shady Valley, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2006 at her residence. She was a native of Johnson County, Tennessee. She was a daughter of the late Edward "Lewis" Corum and Thelma Omalee South Fritz. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Corum. Survivors include her husband, Donnie Owens, of the home; three sons, Robbie Philippi, of Doe Valley, Joey Ashley, of Mountain City, TN, and Donnie Owens, Jr. of the home; three daughters, Heather, Tonya, and Amy Owens, of the home; two brothers, Junior Corum and Jerry Corum; two sisters, Caroline Brown and Judy Fritz; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 22, 2006, in the Cornett Cemetery, Mountain City, TN with Rev. David Griffin officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 7-9 P.M. Friday, July 21, 2006 at Garrett Funeral Home, Damascus, VA.
