David Scott Blevins, Sr., age 62, of Damascus, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia. He was a native of Konnarock, Virginia and was a graduate of Holston High School, class of 1969. He was of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by a son, David Scott Blevins, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, of Meadowview, Virginia; one daughter, Crystal Rector of Bristol, Tennessee; one brother, Jim Blevins of Abingdon, Virginia; two sisters, Alice Havens and her husband, Gary, of Atkins, Virginia and Bobbie Trivett and her husband, Keith, of Abingdon, Virginia; two grandchildren, Brittany Blevins and Jamie Rector; and one nephew, A.J. Havens. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 12, 2013 in the Azen Baptist Church with Pastor Ronnie Blevins and Pastor Johnnie Osborne officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at Azen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
