Charlie Hess

Charlie Hess, 66, of Meadowview, Virginia passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016 in the Select Specialty Hospital at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, Tennessee. He was born in Russell County, Virginia on January 17, 1950, a son of the late Roy and Beulah Hess. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Charlie Hess, Jr. and Perry Hess; a granddaughter, Kaitlynn Ray; and a sister, Eunice Burk. He had lived in Meadowview, Virginia for most of his life, was a farmer, and had attended Glade Spring Church of God. Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Libby Hess; one daughter, Doris Garcia and her boyfriend, Silas McCracken, of Glade Spring, Virginia; one son, Charles Ray and his wife, Tasha, of Abingdon, Virginia; four grandchildren, Amberly Brewer, Angel Garcia, Martin Garcia, and Charles Henry Ray, Jr.; one sister, Myrtle Hawthorne; one brother, John Hess; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Glade Spring Church of God in Glade Spring, Virginia with Pastor James Walls officiating.
