Charlie Boone

March 21, 1929 - April 23, 2012

Charlie R. Boone, age 83, of Konnarock, Virginia passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia. He was a native of Washington County, Virginia and was the son of the late Porter and Ada Boone. He had lived in Falls Church, Virginia for several years before returning back home to his residence in Konnarock, Virginia. He was a retired painter and was a member of the Painter’s Union Allied Trades. He was a member of the Konnarock Seventh Day Adventist Church. He is survived by his wife, Dessie N. Boone; two sons, Gary R. Boone and his wife, Janie, and Dennis C. Boone, all of Frederick, Maryland; three grandchildren, William Porter Boone and his wife, Wendy Page, Jeremy Charles Boone, and Kelly Marie Boone; two great granddaughters, Madison Desirea Boone and Page Marie Boone; one sister, Naomi Hyte of Roanoke, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.  The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Konnarock Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor David Tripp officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at Azen Cemetery in Konnarock, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Arley Hoosier, Herman Hoosier, Jimmy Hoosier, Wayne Taylor, Garland Taylor, and Terry Adams. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
