Ronda, Niki, Bradley, Ella, and Grady,
There are no words to adequately express our love for Bob and for each of you. Bob personified the definition of a good man. The dedication to his Mother, his career, and especially his wife, daughter, son in law, and grandchildren was more than admirable. His quiet demeanor, and all knowing look was always apparent. Remember the "one" Christmas I didn't get him a Flannel shirt (because i thought he was quite tired of getting the same thing every year) He said very matter of factly Lurdie, "Where is my Flannel Shirt"? He will be forever missed, but One Fine Day we will see him again, and that will be Wonder..full. Sending all our love to you, as we all remember our years together as a Family. Lura, Kenny, Ken Jr, Ronnie, Ryan, Melissa, Dakota, Rylan, and Brent.

Dear Ronda and Niki,
I’m so sorry for your loss, Bob was a wonderful husband and father. My late husband, Fred Selfe and Bob were best friends from the time they met at football practice at Virginia Tech. They both transferred to Emory and Henry College to play football. I remember Bob bringing Ronda to meet us when we lived in the trailer park for married students on campus. We all shared many holidays, football ups and downs, job changes, our beautiful daughters, and more football games than we both can remember! Bob was always there for Fred, especially when he was so sick. We will all miss this great man. Paige and I send much love to you both.

I just learned of Buck’s passing this afternoon (Dec. 31st) and certainly was saddened to hear. He was a nice and good man that I always respected very much!!! I knew him while a teammate and fraternity brother at Emory and Henry and occasionally seeing him at football games at Emory. I am sincerely sorry for your loss and us as well!!!

Ronda and Niki,
We send your family heartfelt condolences and prayers for comfort!
Bob, Mr Buchanan, to those of us that knew him though the education field, was a stellar individual!
He was a multi talented educator, coach and administrator. Professional yet so easy to approach with concerns or questions while I volunteered in Washington County School System.
A true gentleman. His intelligence, compassion and leadership will always be respected and admired!

I had Coach Buchanan for Algebra at Virginia High School many years ago. I was a social (talker) student. If the football team had lost, when I’d come in the room he would say “Miss King you can stay in the hall today”. Loved him as a teacher. Some of the best memories I have from VHS. I pray the Lord keeps you close and carries you with His grace.
