Blanche Clark

Blanche Clark, 97, of Green Cove, Virginia passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016. She was life long resident of Washington County, VA and was a daughter of the late Roy and Maggie Stanton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vance Clark; and two sons, Gary Clark and Tracy Clark. She made her home in Green Cove, VA and was a member of Green Cove Christian Church. She was a longtime member of the Damascus Senior Citizens. Mrs. Clark was an excellent seamstress and could make almost anything. She is survived by one daughter, Patricia West and her husband, Dean, of Lawton, OK; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Clark of Green Cove, VA; three very special grandchildren who were her loving caretakers, Amanda Clark and Jessica Sizemore and her husband, Bass; two special great grandchildren, Abby Sizemore and Patrick Sizemore; two sisters, Lucy Huffman and her husband, James, of Troutdale, VA and Emogene Price of Whitetop, VA; and several other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Green Cove Christian Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm Sunday, May 22, 2016, at Green Cove Christian Church with Pastor Harley Farmer and Pastor Leonard Tenney officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at Green Cove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Micah Clark, Patrick Sizemore, Bass Sizemore, Tommy Testerman, Steve Price, and Doug Price.
