Blaine Huffman

March 28, 1934 - July 10, 2015

Blaine Huffman, age 81, of Damascus, Virginia passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015 in the Wellmont Hospice House, Bristol, Tennessee with his wife by his side. He was a native of Smyth County, Virginia and had lived in Pennsylvania for 17 years before moving to Damascus, Virginia in 1972. He was a son of the late Brack and Dulcie Huffman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mike Huffman; and a brother, Hershel Huffman. Blaine was a hard working and humble man who would do anything to help his family. He was well respected in the community and a member of the First Baptist Church in Damascus, Virginia. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Barbara Huffman; his children and spouses, Rick and Sheila Huffman of Damascus, Virginia and Jeff and Ronda Huffman of Bristol, Tennessee; a daughter-in-law, Jamie Huffman of Damascus, Virginia; two brothers and their spouses, Ernest and Juanita Huffman of Pennsylvania and Russel and Shirley Huffman of Konnarock, Virginia; six grandchildren, Michelle Jackson and husband, Jeremy, Lindsey Watson, Lori Huffman, Gavin Huffman, Garrett Huffman, and Anthony Cook; four great grandchildren, Violet and Lily Jackson and Keegan and Skylar Watson. The funeral service will be conducted at 6:30 PM Monday, July 13, 2015 at the graveside at Laurel Cemetery in Troutdale, Virginia with Pastor David Matlock and Pastor Ken Meredith officiating.
