Beulah Blevins

Beulah S. Blevins, age 89, of Whitetop, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie, Virginia. She was a native of Smith Center, Kansas and was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna Staalduine. She attended school in Nebraska, and later lived in Washington, D.C. before moving to Green Cove, Virginia where she lived for many years prior to moving to Whitetop, Virginia in 1965. She attended Whitetop Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Shaw Blevins; one son, Steve Blevins; one brother, George Staalduine; and one sister, Bernice Prehiem.  She is survived by one daughter, Diane Trivett and her husband, John, of Whitetop, Virginia; one son, Bruce Blevins of Whitetop, Virginia; three grandchildren, Shawn Trivett, Stephanie Trivett Roop and her husband, Joey, and Bobby Walls; four great grandchildren, Josh Trivett, Cody Trivett, Brook Trivett, and Jessie Walls; and several nieces and nephews.  The funeral service will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Whitetop Baptist Church, Whitetop, Virginia with Rev. T.A. Pennington officiating. The committal service and interment will be private at the Blevins Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Valley Health Care Center for all their loving care provided to Mrs. Blevins. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 7:45 P.M.
