Allen Lee "LeeBuck" Widener

March 8, 1960 - May 6, 2020

Allen Lee "LeeBuck" Widener, 60, of Damascus, VA passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 in the Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, TN. He was born in Pottstown, PA on March 8, 1960, a son of the late Alfred and Sue Widener. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny Widener, Bobby Charles Widener, and Charles Alfred Widener, Jr. He had made his home in Washington County, VA most all of his life. He enjoyed building model cars and farming. Lee is survived by one daughter, Tamara Nicole Widener and her companion, Kevin Craft, of Vinton, VA; one grandson, Ethan Michael Widener; three sisters, Rosie Ward and her husband, Troy, Jackie Shuler and her husband, Dennis, and Betty Heath and her husband, Ed; four brothers, Martin Widener and his wife, Lapeta, Ellis Widener and his wife, Claudine, C.J. Widener and his wife, Melva, and Robert Widener and his wife, Lola; several nieces and nephews; and his canine companion, Prissy. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Garrett Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm Saturday in the Riverview Chapel at Garrett Funeral Home with Pastor George Jessee and Pastor Terry Compton officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at Rush Creek Cemetery in Glade Spring, VA. Pallbearers will be Martin Widener, Ellis Widener, Kevin Craft, Hunter Robbins, Hank Sinclair, and Jim Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be Avery Widener and Troy Ward. Due to the health concerns and the mandates set forth by the governor of the State of Virginia, those who attend the visitation, service, and graveside must comply with the 10 patron gatherings at any one time and social distancing at all times.
