Alice Roop Morris

Alice Evilee Roop Morris, age 70, of Konnarock, Virginia, known to family and friends at “Evilee”, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie, Virginia. She was born on January 22, 1940 to the late Cainey and Eunice Trivett Blevins Roop. She had lived most of her life in the Azen community of Konnarock, Virginia and was a member of the Azen Baptist Church. She loved going to church, reading, and listening to Gospel Bluegrass Music. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ollie “Boots” Morris, and a brother, Ninevah Blevins. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Blevins and her husband, Melvin, of Konnarock, Virginia; a granddaughter, Mandy Blevins of Konnarock, Virginia; one brother, Ethin Roop of Mountain City, Tennessee; a sister-in-law, Edna Blevins of Konnarock, Virginia; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 18, 2010 at the graveside at Garmin Blevins Family Cemetery, across from Azen Baptist Church, with Bro.
