William Earl "Bill" Wade

William Earl "Bill" Wade, age 54, of Damascus, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in the Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Virginia. He was a native of Princeton, West Virginia, and a son of the late E. Bernard and Elsie Wade and is survived by his step-mother, Rosalie Puckett Wade of Princeton, West Virginia. He had lived in Damascus, Virginia since 1990 and was a culinary arts instructor. Bill was a member of Damascus United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Damon E. Wade. In addition to his step-mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Diane Wade; one step-son, Josh Cook and his wife, Paula, of Chilhowie, Virginia; three step-grandchildren, Caleb Cook, Leah Cook, and Luke Cook; one brother, Darrell Wade and his wife, Joyce, of Princeton, West Virginia; two nephews, Chris Wade and Robert Wade and his wife, Jami; three nieces, Karen Murray, Kati Prater, and Kelsie Wade; special friends, Tommy McConnell, Brian Yarber, and Jay Warden; and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Garrett Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 P.M. Thursday in the Riverview Chapel at Garrett Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Denton and Pastor Jeanne Denton officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the family to help pay medical expenses.
