Margaret L. Winters

Margaret L. Winters, age 65, of Damascus, Virginia passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015 at her sister's residence in Damascus, Virginia. She was a life long resident of Washington County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Gladys Winters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jackie Morgan, Eddie Winters, Charles "Bowevil" Winters, and Tommy Winters; and one sister, Martha Winters. Margaret is survived by two sisters, Susie Smith and her husband, Tommy, of Damascus, Virginia, and Peggy Combs and her husband, Fred, of Konnarock, Virginia; two brothers, Billy Winters and his wife, Rachel, of Damascus, Virginia, and Michael Winters of Damascus, Virginia; a very special niece, Jessica Trent; a special friend, Selma Thomas; and several other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Garrett Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, April 9, 2015, at the graveside at Mock Cemetery in Damascus, Virginia with Chaplain Andrew Gibbens officiating. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Mock Cemetery on Thursday at 10:45 am.
