Lucy Dolinger Lowe

Lucy Dolinger Lowe, age 88, of Damascus, Virginia passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at her residence. She was a life long resident of Damascus, Virginia and was a daughter of the late Oscar and Dora Dolinger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Lowe; four sisters and three brothers. She was a member of Damascus Senior Citizens and the Church of Christ, Railroad Avenue, Damascus, Virginia. Lucy is survived by two daughters, Patricia Taylor and her husband, Bill, of Mountain City, Tennessee and Debbie Reed and special friend, Darrell Briere; one son, Kenneth Lowe and his wife, Barbara, of Johnson City, Tennessee; two sisters, JoAnn Porter and her husband, Harold, of Gainesville, Virginia and Norma Jean Masker of Oak Hill, Virginia; two brothers, Bobby Dolinger and his wife, Dottie, of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Danny Dolinger of Green Cove, Virginia; one brother-in-law, Carter Puryear of Fredericksburg, Maryland; six grandchildren, Brad, Teresa, Kendra, Tony, Buffy, and Tammie; five great grandchildren, Kristen, Kaitlin, Ciera, Sutton, and Logan; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 7:45 P.M. Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Garrett Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 P.M. Wednesday in the Riverview Chapel at Garrett Funeral Home with Pastor Walter Staude officiating. The committal service and interment will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Sunset Memorial Park in Damascus, Virginia. Honorary Pallbearers will be Darrell Briere, James Gilland, James McGlamery, Jim Forrester, Doug Blackburn, and James Gentry.
