Frank A. Patzke, age 85, of Meadowview, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Abingdon Health and Rehab in Abingdon, Virginia. A Veteran of the United States Navy Reserve. He was born in Port Huron, Michigan and later moved to California where he lived for 30 years. After his retirement he moved to Virginia. He was a member of the Damascus Church of Christ, Damascus, Virginia. He was the son of the late Frank and Marie Schumann Patzke. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Lloyd Patzke.He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Evelyn Patzke, daughter, Pamela Alexander, of Abingdon, Virginia; future son-in-law, Charles Taylor, of Abingdon, Virginia; sister, Addie Rehberg of Ft. Gratiot, Michigan; sister-in-law, Donna Johnson of California; three grandchildren, Skye Pickholtz and Sorin Dobrican of Florida, Nova Star Collins and husband, Will of California; Hope Alexander and Blake Boyd of Alabama; two great grandchildren, Ariel and Alexis Pickholtz; and Sadie Bell, his dog of 14 years.The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Damascus Church of Christ in Damascus, Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm at the Church with Mr. Walt Staude, Minister officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens in Abingdon, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
