Edith "Kat, T-Tom" Baumgardner

Edith "Kat, T-Tom" Baumgardner, age 77, of the Dentons Valley Community in Bristol, TN went to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 3, 2017. She was a lifelong resident of the Dentons Valley Community, Bristol, TN and was a daughter of the late Clarence Duff "Bill" Parks and Myrtle Alice Collins Parks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry S. Baumgardner, Jr.; two sons, Robin Justin Baumgardner and Henry Loren Baumgardner; one great grandson, Tanner Eli Baumgardner; four sisters and four brothers.She was a member of Rooty Branch Freewill Baptist Church.She is survived by two sons, Kenny Baumgardner and his wife, Sherry, of Abingdon, VA, and Glen Baumgardner and his wife, Tammy, of Bristol, TN; two grandsons, Loren Andrew Baumgardner and Phillip Anthony Baumgardner; two great grandsons, Tristan Camdon Baumgardner and Austin Henry Baumgardner; a daughter-in-law, Marlene Baumgardner Wade; three sisters, Ilene Lane and her husband, Ed, of Damascus, VA, Elizabeth Sinclair of Bristol, TN, and Retha Wilson and her husband, Alfred, of Bristol, VA; two brothers, Charles Bumgardner and his wife, Janice, of Vermontville, MI, and Ronnie Parks and his wife, Jahoy, of Bulls Gap, TN; four sisters-in-law, Linda Parks, Kathy Parks, Dorothy Parks, and Irene Parks; and several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:45 PM Friday, August 4, 2017 at Garrett Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 PM Friday in the Riverview Chapel at Garrett Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Sprinkle, Pastor Greg Poe, and Pastor Clifton Rush officiating. The committal service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Greenwood Cemetery in Alvarado, VA. Pallbearers will be Hank Sinclair, Mike Smythe, Brady Snead, Clarence "Bea" Baumgardner, Delmer Parks, Ralph Doss, Lester Parks, and Duffy Parks. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ralph Lane, Billy Baldwin, Ronnie Parks, Bobby Baumgardner, and Robert Doss.
