Charles H. "Pot" Jones, 76, of Damascus, VA passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Damascus, VA on October 14, 1940, a son of the late William Albert Jones and Frances Snyder Jones. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from Appalachian Power Company. He was an honorary member of the Damascus Volunteer Fire Department. He loved hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Connie Jones; two daughters, Cheryl Jones and Caitlin Jones; one son, Chris Jones and his wife, Kristi; three grandchildren, Tanner Jones, Logan Jones, and Kaylee Jones; one sister, Judy Barker; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 28, 2017 in the Damascus Church of Christ with Mr. Walt Staude, minister officiating.
