Brenda Brown

Brenda Brown, 63, of the Taylor Valley Community in Damascus, Virginia passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at her mother's residence in Mountain City, Tennessee. She was born in Elizabethton, TN and had lived in Ohio for twenty years and later in Arizona for ten years prior to moving to Taylor Valley, VA in 2001. She had worked in the hospitality industry as a beverage manager for Holiday Inn in Tempe, AZ and later was a antiques dealer for several years. Brenda is survived by her son, Albert McIntosh of Taylor Valley, VA; her mother, Janet Coyne of Mountain City, TN; and a sister, Sharon Birchfield of Mountain City, TN; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren in Taylor Valley, VA. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm Thursday, June 2, 2016, at Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren with Pastor Martha Roudebush officiating. The committal service and interment will follow the funeral service at Jackson-Lewis Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Al McIntosh, Gavin McKinney, Garrett McKinney, Billy McKenzie, Paul Blevins, and Logan Birchfield.
